Please complete the following online courses and workshops before 11/15/2025

Swirl Courses

The following Swirl course will teach you the basics of R programming. Follow the steps in the link below to install the course and submit your participation:

This second Swirl course will teach you how to conduct exploratory data analysis on sample data sets, plotting in R using bases packages, and how to use the the famous ggplot2 package. Follow the steps in the link below to install the course and submit your participation:

Completion of each course will be counted on our end through a Google form submission part of each lesson. If you have issues submitting the Google Form at the end of any lesson, send an email to: eleana-cabello@ou.edu

Create an OSCER Account

Follow the directions on the OSCER website to create an account, linked here: OSCER New Account Setup

You will need this account for the Introduction to Bash Programming and HPC Workshop and the Single Cell RNA-Seq Workshop.

When asked in the form for a sponsoring PI or faculty member for the account, please put the PI of the research lab you currently belong to.

Once you have received confirmation from OSCER that your account has been set up and you can log into it successfully, send an email to any of the following with your username : kylie-m-williams@ou.edu or eleana-cabello@ou.edu

If we do not receive your username information, we will not be able to add you to the OSCER group for this workshop.

Setup R and RStudio Locally

Please make sure to have R and RStudio properly set up on your device before the workshop. If you do not have RStudio installed, please follow the instructions linked below:
